All About My Piercings! Two Week Update!

Hey loves! So today I'm bringing you a post on my new piercings! I was going to post this last week but I had already done the Ipsy post so I decided to push it back an extra week. So here it goes!

Exactly two weeks ago, my sister and I got our nipples pierced. Our co-worker suggested we have a tattoo party and invite some other co-workers so we could make it more fun. There was drinks, food and music and it was actually really nice.

My sister went first and she said she enjoyed the feeling. To her, it was more pleasurable than painful. Mine was more pain than pleasure. I did my right nipple first and that one hurt the most. On a scale from 1-10 it was about a 6. The left one was much easier. It was more like a 3. I didn't scream but I definitely gave some push back.

The very next day when I was at work, I realized one of the balls on my right nipple piercing fell out and I had lost it. Since I had just gotten to work and I had a training immediately after work, I wasn't able to get a replacement ball. When I got home late that night, I realized my jewelry had slide back through the piercing and was hanging out of only one side. I panicked and had to push the jewelry back through. It didn't hurt but because the piercing was so new I was afraid I would bleed out. Luckily, I didn't suffer much at all and was able to slip it right through without too much of a problem.

As the days went on, I made sure to always cover that part of the jewelry with a band-aid to avoid the jewelry slipping through again. For the most part, the healing process was smooth. My right nipple, the one that put up a fight when it was pierced and had issues with the jewelry, took longer to heal but it's doing better now.

Now that it's been a couple of weeks, I can go back to sleeping on my chest without any discomfort. I don't have to wear the band-aids on them all the day. I am still incredibly cautious when putting on shirts, bras, and just general body movement. I have to be extra careful when showering because I can't use my loofah. Other than that, I really like my piercings. I honestly can't wait until I can change my jewelry though. I'm a little scared to do it myself so maybe I can get my piercer to do it for me lol!

People have been asking me if I want to get more piercings but i'm not currently interested in anything else. I have one tattoo and one piercing and that's enough for me.

So that's about it for me today! I'll probably do another update in a few more weeks or whenever I change my jewelry. I've seen a couple of sites that have a great selection of nipple jewelry so I'm looking forward to getting something new!

Thanks for reading guys! See ya!

Ipsy Glam Bag: June 2016

Okay so if you've been following my blog for awhile, you remember last summer when I tried out the Ipsy makeup subscription. If you're unfamiliar with Ipsy or those posts, you can check out the post in which I explained what Ipsy here.

Overall, I felt that my experience with the company was average. I wasn't impressed nor was I disappointed. I ended my subscription with the company simply because I took a financial hit last August and I had to cut back on a lot of stuff including my Spotify subscription. Ipsy still sent me emails every now and then but I finally decided to resubscribe in late May.

So since I received my glam bag yesterday, let's get right to the review!

So here's what I got: Colourpop Cosmetics Creme Gel Eyeliner in the shade Swerve, Urban Decay eye shadow in Lounge, Frank Body Original Coffee Scrub, Hey Honey 24/7 Day & Night Revitalizing Cream and Elizabeth Mott Show Me Your Cheeks blush in Peach Pink. Ipsy always includes one full size product. This month's full size product was the coffee scrub.

Colourpop Cosmetics Creme Gel Eyeliner: $5 full size
Urban Decay eye shadow: $20 full size
Frank Body Original Coffee Scrub: $14.95 fill size
Hey Honey 24/7 Day & Night Revitalizing Cream: $38 full size
Elizabeth Mott Show Me Your Cheeks blush in Peach Pink: $23 full size

Honest Opinion: I like this month's products. I'm a big fan of Urban Decay so I'm interested in trying out the eye shadow although the shade is strange. I've never tried a coffee scrub before so I like that product. I think this might be the most expensive products I've received from Ipsy totaling up to over $100 full price. I really can't wait to try out all of these products!

Overall Rating: 4/5

Here's how to get your own glam bag!

  1. Go to www.ipsy.com
  2. Sign up for the monthly glam bag using my referral code. It's only $10!
  3. Take the style quiz
  4. Wait for your next glam bag!
It should normally arrive around the 15th of every month.
