Anniversary Post

My blog blog turned 1 a few days ago! :) I can't believe I've had my blog for this long and continued to post. I always figured I would just post a bit and then get bored and move on. I'm a little proud of myself for sticking to it even though I did have a few hiatuses every now and then. However, I think the biggest praise go to you guys, my readers. I love logging on and seeing the number of page/post views grow. You guys are so awesome! I plan to commit myself to at least one post a week from now on so every time you guys log on you'll have something new to read.

So in light of our birthday, let's celebrate with some ass shall we?

I came across these on Twitter today. Now, I have had an Twitter account for years and I know that nothing is sacred on Twitter. Twitter users have been known to kill off celebrities well before their time. I specifically remember an incident from about 3 years ago when I ran down to the living room to inform my parents that according to Twitter, Nelson Mandela had died. Of course it was all a hoax set up by Internet trolls who just wanted a good laugh and I fell for it.

However, this is not funny. Sexualizing young girls is NOT funny. Rape jokes are NOT funny. Raping young girls is NOT funny. When will people learn that there is a difference between crude humor and projecting rape culture?

So I'm getting my first tattoo today. I'm not as nervous as I was last night after we made the appointment. I was freaking out! I wanted to just cancel it or just not show up but I couldn't because the tattoo and the time slot had already been paid for. $130 for the tat and an extra $20 to ensure our appointment time. 

I'm not as freaked out anymore but I am over thinking it. I guess I feel like this tattoo is going to change me somehow. I keep glancing at the clock and thinking "Well, I have blah blah more hours until I permanently mark my body". I don't know why I'm reacting this way because I'm getting something that I really care about.....something I've wanted for over 3 years now. My tattoo is going to mean something to me and I know I won't regret it my design but like I said, I'm over thinking it. I over think EVERYTHING!

Well anyway, my appointment is at 6 and I'm sure it'll take at least 2 hours. I'll post the first picture here as soon as I can tonight!
